iOS 26.0 (23A5308g) | Beta 5 is a huge step back for me. A lot of bugs, crashes, glitches and overheating. Here the biggest ones in 30s.

@_matt_bar_ Battery life I think only time can tell. Yet some issues fixed itself after hard resetting. I run it on a 14 Pro Max. Update was around 3.9gb.

So restarting the device multiple times did not fix it. Only after hard resetting it most of the time things started working again. Yet the search in Messages remains broken and some of the animations still have glitching issues and are not showing properly, but it is a BETA.

@appleinteligen As a dev myself not much, I mean it’s a beta yes, but for a beta 5 I am not expecting multiple apps to have such issues.

@Bandit_178 Finally the hard reset did sort of fix it, the restarts didn’t do anything. Yet the search in messages for example still is bugged and doesn’t find anything not even saved contact names.

@t0mi292 Die Beta hat’s in sich, mehrere suchen Totalschaden. Instant crashes oder buggy und Animationen auch sehr inkonsequent manchmal 1ms bis nicht existent, manchmal normal. Heiß ist mein Handy auch wie Hölle.

@asherdipps @iM4CH3T3 Spacing is missing, effect not working with the glass, widgets don’t like the dark mode, nor do notifications with the glass effect on, hard to read white on light colors. Same does the reduced transparency not really get affected by dark mode, seems still very light
