We applaud @kkariko and Drew Weissman on their #NobelPrize in Physiology or Medicine for pioneering nucleoside base modifications which were one of the key innovations applied to our #mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccine. Gratulálunk and congrats!
BioNTech has always been deeply rooted in academia. #STEM grads can now explore #science projects and apply for a full-time contract via our ATLAS #PhD program, a collab with TRON. Students with a sweet spot for #biomedical#research can apply by Oct 31. https://t.co/O8UdaLPIlV
Our daughter has been diagnosed with this rare brain cancer, DIPG. Due to its rarity, available data and treatment options are limited! Please retweet and If you are aware of any trials, please get in touch! Thank you!
Happy to share our latest manuscript elucidating the mechanism by which a non-standard viral genome- derived RNA triggers type 1 immunity during vaccination.
Great work by @DevinScientific, @VickyGnazzo and D.Holthausen.

Our new paper on respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) copy-back viral genomes (cbVGs) evolution: https://t.co/yURkGZEGIq
@CBLopezLab@emna_achouri and Sydney Faber
We found that RSV cbVGs evolution within RSV populations depends on the host environment. The ability of RSV to sustain high replication levels leads to the diversification of cbVGs and ultimately to the selection of a subset of cbVGs.
🧐Where do you think the best place to live is? We take a look at the Global Liveability Index 2022 from @TheEIU to see which city comes out top. https://t.co/CKa582vJwJ
Felt and colleagues show that negative-sense RNA virus populations include particles w/ diverse, interacting viral genomes called quasispecies that shape infection outcome https://t.co/zrDQ7E7DbL @ASMicrobiology#MMBRJournal
New, Lopez & Felt: negative-sense RNA virus populations consist not only of standard viral genomes but also of many genome variants that likely interact and have implications for therapy development https://t.co/zrDQ7E7DbL
