Today I had the privilege of hosting UNESCO-IICBA and representatives of the Government of Japan for the official launch of a regional initiative supported by the African Union. This initiative is focused on expanding learning opportunities for vulnerable and out-of-school children across Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Sudan. With a strong focus on girls' education, it seeks to strengthen policy, improve community learning environments, enhance teacher capacity, and support vulnerable learners to enroll, remain, and succeed in school.
We appreciate the continued support of our partners and the Federal Ministry of Education @NigEducation remains fully committed to tackling the challenge of out-of-school children through coordinated, evidence-based, and result-oriented interventions. Stronger collaboration and more accurate data are what we need to ensure our solutions are targeted, effective, and truly responsive to the realities of children and communities across our country. Every child deserves a chance to learn and no child should be left behind.
Dear Hon @YusufAdamuGagdi,
The President will be with you soon, to address you. Pass this message directly to him. On behalf of all Nigerians.
Thank you.
Nigerian artist Portable (Habeeb Okikiola Badmus) has released a video pleading for an end to the targeting and stereotyping of Fulanis in Yorubaland. Sharing how well they have treated him personally, he also pointed out that many people mistakenly target Hausas due to profiling. We applaud Portable for this responsible and timely message, and we urge other celebrities to follow his example in speaking out against discrimination.
Portable is far better than those bigots, wizkid and Davido

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,
As we celebrate this Eid-el-Adha, I facilitate with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this eid of sacrifice.
This is a period were families and loved ones comes together as they share meals, support each other, and making sure no one is left out. It reminds us that the season is not just about celebration, but about looking out for our neighbours and helping those who need it most.
I urge all of us to use this time well. Celebrate with your families, enjoy the moments, but remember the less privileged around you. A little help or a kind word goes a long way. Let us pray for peace in Jigawa and across Nigeria. Unity and understanding will always carry us forward.
Our government will keep working to improve lives and take development to every part of the state. But real progress depends on all of us working together with patience. May Allah accept our sacrifices and prayers, and grant every home peace and good health.
Eid Mubarak to you all and your families.
Umar A. Namadi, FCA
Governor, Jigawa State
