Caitlin’s mum. Advocate for maternity safety. Campaigning for secondary victims of maternity negligence to have their legal rights restored & lives recovered.
The press can’t publish this photo so I will. I watched the agony in Caitlin’s eyes as her bowel ruptured. I’d been telling medics my worries & wasn’t heard. I told her it was okay to die if living was too hard. She survived, at a devastating cost. #NUH#Ockenden#SecondaryVictim
On tonight’s @BBCPanorama we heard about the ‘FOH’ culture, a new blow for #Nottingham families 💔
Every light in this photo represents a family bereaved or harmed. Yet to our knowledge not one person has been held to account.
The midwife who wrote/ is writing ‘FOH’ needs to be removed from clinical care. Subjecting women to such inhumane treatment at their most vulnerable time of life should be acted upon #FindFOH #panorama

@wesstreeting@TheNorthernEcho I distinctly remember you telling us it’s not within your gift to order a public inquiry. Were you lying? Has that power now come to you? Or is this not a SPI but you’re beefing the announcement up for some good PR. One must be true. Which is it?
@hergehound5@ValerieAmos How many chances do we give it? The @DHSCgovuk fully endorsed the ‘immediate and essential’ actions from the last @DOckendenLtd review which, as of yet, are unimplemented. I’d argue the opportunity for reform NOW has been available for years.
@MartynPitman@ValerieAmos@wesstreeting Ironically, over the summer, @wesstreeting told us ‘accountability’ (or an inability to deliver it) was his only concern about opting for a national review over a statutory public inquiry.
@wesstreeting In March you saw photo of my baby with excruciating pain in her eyes as her bowel ruptured & listened to me describe a child with a terminal prognosis, with tears in your eyes.
The discordance between your promises & subsequent action has deceived us. Unforgivable.
