Tell me you think black and brown people have ruined Britain, without telling me you think black and brown people have ruined Britain.
Finfluencers showing their true colours👇🏽
"The Britain I grew up in was the most peaceful, the most gentle, homogenous society that has ever existed. We ... had extraordinarily low levels of crime. We had high levels of public trust. That has been destroyed ... by Tony Blair with this absurd notion they were going to force us to become multi-ethnic for good."

@Chris_Skinner Anyone of colour who’s been racially abused over the past few weeks reading the quote you posted to your 50k followers making that assertion are thinking the same thing.
Appreciate the revised tweet and additional context though
Twitter has made likes anonymous so it’s the perfect time to periodically share stories from an infamous UK ‘challenger fintech consultancy’ that for legal purposes I’ll call 100:BS
If you’ve worked for this company as I have DM me and I’ll add them to the stories I’ll share..
Let’s stop following ‘fintech geeks’ like Simon Taylor with paper bag opinions not back up by any expertise.
Having a big social media following isn’t proof of expertise.
Fintech is going through its own “another white boy with a podcast” phase but with newsletters.
If you’ve only worked for a VC firm or done very hands off advisory work, that doesn’t qualify you to provide ‘insights’ on different areas of fintech.
Pass the mic to someone else
A popular Fintech Consultancy/Media hype machine looks like it’s in trouble AGAIN proving that running a business like a travelling circus doesn’t work.
Client goodwill runs out, employees spread the word of their bad experiences and words gets around…
There’s a guy in Fintech who is a full on narcissist. Calls himself ‘the guru of fintech’ but offers no insights or original predictions.
Companies who work with his organisation don’t give him repeat business and he fires anyone who disagrees with him.
You know who it is…
Is being a VC akin to being a stockbroker in the 80s?
Lots of parallels between the roles.
Greed.
Bro culture.
Limited access to the ‘inner circle’.
No accountability.
@DexterCousins On the whole yes. But if attrition at all levels (including senior level) is high it’s a bit of a red flag.
Retaining great existing staff especially at seniors levels should be priority 1 as rehiring at those levels can be costly and lengthy
There seems to be a trend of Fintech’s– who are known to have terrible company cultures – but promote externally about culture and how great they are at looking after employees.
Why is your attrition so high then?

Seeing lots of Fintech podcasts and platforms talk about diversity when it’s Black History month or Women in Tech week.
At all other times diversity is still an afterthought. Go check out your fave podcast and check the last time they had a non-white face on...
Middle Aged White Men in financial services be like: ‘Fucking banks not giving equal access to financial services to everyone’
The same white people advising big banks and taking their money: ‘yes, we’re the experts and we know the best way to fix your problems...’

This is the 2nd bit of intriguing and perplexing #Revolut news I’ve heard in the past 2 weeks. Glow in the dark card + entering the Indian market.
The first obvious question is, apart from buying drinks in a nightclub, what is the need for a glow in the dark card?!?
#Revolut punching above their weight?
Revolut announces its new partnership with 2x world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and launched a co-branded glow-in-the-dark card to kick off the partnership

Anyone going to talk about the collapse of quasi Ponzi scheme at @FootballIndex? Effectively a trading platform with footballers as the instrument and many folks have lost money and had their lives ruined..
