The General Assembly has put in the work to keep the Chesapeake Bay clean, upgrade clean water infrastructure, and reduce pollution. This proposal from @GovernorVA will continue that mission by taking further steps to protect our environment.
“Gov. Northam’s budget proposes a historic investment in clean water. This is among the most critical budgets in Virginia history for the health of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries and CBF commends the Governor’s leadership," said CBF's Peggy Sanner.

BIG: With my latest budget, our administration has invested a record $1 BILLION to restore the Chesapeake Bay.
The Bay is one of our most treasured natural resources—this funding will generate $8 billion in economic growth and keep it safe and thriving for generations to come.

“What's most important about this plan is we begin to build that answer with Virginians — our neighbors, our community members, business owners — especially our historically disinvested communities,” said Ashley Montgomery, @hanburydesign designer and @_HamptonU alumna.
