Moreover, over 2.54 lakh child labourers have been rescued & enrolled in Special Training Centres (STCs) in last 5 years. While we have been able to save these children, a lot more needs to be done to give our children the childhood they deserve.

PENCIL(Platform for Effective Enforcement for No Child Labour) Portal launched by @LabourMinistry in Sept 2017 has identified ​1.14 lakh children as child labourers - ​64,234 children have been enrolled in Special Training Centres (STCs) & ​21,995 ​have already been mainstreamed.

As the World Day Against Child Labour comes to an end, I’d like to share that under PM @narendramodi ji’s leadership, India was one of the only ​14 countries which met the new criteria for ​‘Significant Advancement’​ in eliminating worst forms of child labour in the year 2017.
