A lot of people in this country are at breaking point now. Not because they have given up on democracy, but because they still believe in it and they feel completely ignored.

People are scared to say what they think. Scared they could lose their jobs. Scared they’ll be labelled, smeared, reported, cancelled, or dragged through the mud just for having an opinion about the country they live in.

So today I give you "Listen To Britain". This is not mine, it is yours .Your message. Your voice. Your silence broken.

So this is simple.

This is not party affiliated.
This is not attached to any organisation.
There is no merchandise.
There are no donors.
There is no money in this.

It is just a message.

"I still believe in democracy. I just don’t believe they’re listening."

That is it.

There are now dental practice management consultants who go to dentist offices throughout America and teach them how to increase profits by telling patients they need treatments they don’t need

Dentist offices are taught on “Finding” more issues during exams, through more aggressive diagnostics

These consulting firms charge as much as $2,000-$10,000 per month

They teach to recommend Crowns instead of fillings. Also to do Root canals and crowns on teeth that might only need a filling or could be watched

A history lesson for @Keir_Starmer on the Saxon king Æthelred the Unready and his humiliating reign after failing to stop Vikings in England (eerily almost exactly 1,000 years apart).

Æthelred the Unready, 978–1013, was a king who believed that heavily taxing his Anglo-Saxon subjects to pay off marauding and raping Viking raiders would buy peace. It, of course, did the opposite. Far from deterring them, the payments acted as a powerful incentive: “For, through dread of his enemies, he used to drain the country of money, with which he might retard or repel their attacks…” “That tribute harassed all the English nation for many years” (William of Marmsbury, 1125)

The Vikings, in their small narrow boats, returned in greater numbers, emboldened by the rich rewards for their raids, raping, and pillaging. “Once you have paid him the Dane-geld, You never get rid of the Dane.” (Rudyard Kipling, 1911)

The repeated humiliations and military failures eroded Æthelred’s authority. Many of his own countrymen lost confidence in their king. Armies proved ineffective or reluctant to fight under leadership they viewed as weak and futile. Nobles began rebelling.

So in 1013, when Sweyn Forkbeard of Denmark launched a full invasion, much of England submitted with little resistance.

Æthelred was forced to flee into exile in Normandy, and the Danish king seized the English throne.

The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, looking back on his reign, summarised Æthelred’s legacy (1016): “He had held his kingdom with great toil and difficulties as long as his life lasted.”

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it and this story, of failed Saxon king Æthelred, is strikingly applicable to our country today.

A man from Dundee that brutally inflicted multiple injuries on a 10-month-old kitten leading to the animal's death has avoided prison.

Kevin Shewan pleaded guilty to causing his cat, Shadow, unnecessary suffering by inflicting multiple non-accidental injuries to the head and body over a four-month period, resulting in euthanasia.

The court heard that Shewan’s sister had reported him to the Scottish SPCA over concerns about the cat’s welfare.

In August 2025, the PDSA pet hospital in Dundee treated Shadow, for an eye injury

The damage to his eye was so severe that it had to be removed.

Two months later, Shadow returned to the same veterinary hospital suffering from lameness. It was discovered that he had sustained two pelvic fractures.

He was admitted for castration two months after that but was found to have a fracture to a hind leg and a broken canine tooth.

Very sadly, vets felt there was no option but to put Shadow to sleep on welfare grounds.

The judge allowed him to walk free from court with 250 hours of unpaid work

CONVICTED | Mason Sestanovich, 24, of #Wincobank, #Sheffield S9 – caught on CCTV beating a scared and submissive XL Bully.
Sestanovich, who’s originally from #Croydon and has links to #Clapham, is banned from keeping animals for life after being filmed carrying out a an unprovoked, prolonged assault on the defenceless dog, named Chicago.
The incident took place in the hallway of a block of flats in Hyde Park Terrace in #Sheffield on October 4, 2023. A housing manager alerted the RSPCA who visited Sestanovich at his home. Inspectors found that aside from terrorising Chicago, he was keeping her in unsuitable conditions.
An RSPCA behaviourist said: “Chicago was grabbed roughly and beaten and the dog’s body language expressed extreme fear and the violence of the man’s gestures indicates the blows were delivered to the dog with extreme violence and caused pain.”
Sestanovich said the dog was an XL Bully. Despite being told that he needed to register her to comply with the law, he refused to do so and also refused to sign her into the care of the RSPCA.
Sadly, Chicago was typed as an XL Bully when she was assessed at a rehoming centre. Despite having done nothing wrong, she therefore had to be put to sleep in accordance with government legislation.
Sestanovich pleaded guilty to inflicting blunt force trauma, physical violence and intimidatory behaviour on the dog.
Sentencing | 16 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months; 100 hours of unpaid work and 10 days of ‘rehab’; £400 in court costs plus £154 victim surcharge. Lifetime ban.
