I fully agree with this. I'm so tired of people willfully misinterpreting this and saying the pandemic is over.

Perhaps the WHO should have silently ended their emergency response to COVID instead of announcing it to the world. There are too many stupid people out there and I'm sure they knew it back then.

I just saw an article by the American Brain Foundation that claimed front and center that "The WHO ended the pandemic in May 2023"

NO. THEY. DID. NOT. THEY ENDED THEIR OWN INTERNAL EMERGENCY MODE. THEY SPECIFICALLY SAID IT DID NOT MEAN THE PANDEMIC WAS OVER.
