We are currently in Niigata Japan, Tomorrow we take the ferry to Sado island, Japan's gold panning hotspot, taking our ultra- lightweight gold panning kit, if we can find just one flake of gold it will be a win......fingers crossed!👍

Doing a bit of indoor panning today, got a snap lock pot of concentrates where we'd removed the big easily visible flakes of gold in the pan, but there were flecks of gold still in so we kept swilling the pan into the pot before doing a fresh pan of gravels, not a bad little haul

@overanout They ceased to be legal tender in 1945 so I reckon this coin has been in the ground for the best part of 100 years.

Metal detecting in an olive grove in Italy using our Garrett AT Gold metal detector, we found this Emanuele ll 1 centisimo coin, happy with that......😁

@LoyalTipster Hi you don't use a metal detector, just a gold pan and a trowel is the most basic kit you'll need, take a look at my early tweets to see what the equipment looks like, also take a look at MrDazP1 on YouTube who does some very good videos on finding gold in the UK.
