@rahulpillai38 @ShashiTharoor Udma has more Muslim population than Thrikaripur which also elected a Hindu candidate. Thrikaripur's story is unique as the lost LDF opponent is a Muslim. Wandoor, Kannur, Azhikode, Nadapuram also elected Hindu MLAs where Muslims would be 40-60%!

@ShashiTharoor Udma, Wandoor, Azhikode, Kannur, Nadapuram also elected Hindu candidates where Muslims are more than 35%. Infact, Thrikaripur wouldn't have such a high percentage of Muslims alone, although the total minority votes including Highrange Christians could comprise it.

@devuuux13 @drshamamohd The fact is that, there's not even 2% Christians in Thavanur Constituency. There would be merely few hundreds. Malappuram District itself has only 1.98% Christian population, mainly contributed by the Nilambur side. Interestingly, joy belongs to the micro Pentecostal community.
