Sedlescombe CC

Cricketing hard and fast, every summer Sunday

Sedlescombe tasted sweet victory in the 2023 edition of the Cornford Cup! Our man of the match Bhav smashed 100 as we set an imposing target of 282, which Westfield fell just short of as they were bowled out for 270ish in the final over. An excellent match played in fine spirits

We played our final game of the season yesterday, away at @pettcc . Sedlescombe secured a comfortable second place, being bowled out for 147 in pursuit of 195. Our standout performer was @KieranSM_ who claimed his first 5 wicket haul for Sedlescombe! 🍉

Our stylish scorer has done the maths and it's looking a tough ask from here. Can our young guns pull off a miracle?

Sedlescombe are in black armbands today to pay respects to Sedlescombe legend Charlie Fellows, who sadly passed away earlier this week. He was a player, groundsman and most importantly a great friend to many. He will be missed!

We're playing @BexhillCC at the Polegrove, Bexhill helped themselves to 246 off their 35. Can we chase a small portion of this total down? The Harvey siblings opening up for us.

[Sedlescombe CC @SedlescombeCC]

Stand out performers with the bat were @p_feakins with 80 for Sedlescombe and Mark Sztyber with 70 for Westfield. The wickets were shared, and a special mention goes to Perry for his superb keeping work

[Sedlescombe CC @SedlescombeCC]

and we're back! Sedlescombe finally returned to action in the Cornford Cup, putting in a solid all round performance to beat @_WestfieldCC and retain the trophy 🏆celebratory drinks in @newinnwestfield

[Sedlescombe CC @SedlescombeCC]

Not sure this needs to be said, but all Sedlescombe matches up until July have been cancelled for obvious reasons! Until then I'm sure they'll be showing some classic Sedlescombe matches on Sky
