In 17th-19th century Europe, millions of people believed that if you keep meat outside overnight, maggots will spontaneously emerge from it.

That is meat left outside ---> will create maggots.

It took Louis Pasteur to do studies and experiments to prove that the meat was not the cause but contamination by external agents, by leaving it open, caused the maggots.

And from there emerges the pasteurization and sterlization methods, that is since keeping billions of us safe from food contamiation and helping run trillions of dollars of packaged food industry.

In 19th century London, all its population believed that a nightly fog was causing cholera and typhoid. They avoided going out at night, lit incense sticks, and kept their windows closed. It took one scientific minded guy called John Snow to systematically investigate the cause and figure out sewage contamination going on in a water pumping system.

In Medieval Europe, "millions of people" believed "Blood Letting" cured many of their illnesses. And it was a commonly used practise. It continued until 1830s when Pierre Louis "numerical method" ended the delusion: he statistically audited hundreds of cases in Paris hospitals, comparing outcomes with and without blood letting. Revealing no benefit. But only more harm in conditions like pneumonia, cancers, ulcers, and anemia, where bled patients fared worse.

So, "millions of people" believing something, even if they can clearly see the Sun is only going around Earth everyday and causing night & day, doesn't mean they are right. That one Aryabhatta or Copernicus doing science and math only get it right.

Just want to say this again, creating vaccine hesitancy, even inadvertently, will cost our nation dearly in personal and public health. There are real world economic consequences.

It can also unwittingly aid a warfare called "weaponized vaccine hesitancy" and put, not just individuals, but the entire coutry at risk during the next pandemic (plandemic?).

No intervention has zero risk and only benefit. Anyone who says otherwise is either lying or doesn't know what they are talking about.

Debate with whom? You? The person who is rejecting science based on a feeling he has? What have you based your opinions on? But you know what, I’ll bite.

1) “Is there a practical limit? Could we keep adding shots — 56 or 72?”
In principle there isn’t a magical integer that says “stop at 10.” New vaccines are added only after safety, efficacy, and programmatic testing (including studies of co-administration with the existing schedule). Each addition is evaluated on its benefits vs risks. The schedule is about public-health tradeoffs and evidence, not an arbitrary quota.

2) “Even if single shots are safe, aren’t combinations and accumulation risky?”
Scientific evidence: giving several vaccines at once is safe. Studies test new vaccines alongside the existing schedule. A large U.S. study found no association between cumulative vaccine antigen exposure in the first 23 months and later non-vaccine infections. Modern vaccines actually expose the immune system to far fewer antigens than older vaccines did (because of purified and subunit vaccines and combination formulations). Babies face thousands of microbes every day; vaccines present a tiny, well-defined fraction of that.

3) “Infants’ immune systems are immature — isn’t that dangerous?”
Exactly why we vaccinate early: infants are most vulnerable to severe disease (e.g., whooping cough, Hib, pneumococcus). The infant immune system is capable of mounting responses to many antigens simultaneously — that’s how they handle normal environmental exposures and develop immunity to common germs. Clinical trials specifically evaluate vaccines in the age groups they will be given.

4) “Vaccines trigger autoimmune disease - is the vaccine–autoimmune link real?”
Long answer: Specific events have been reported after vaccines (for example, Guillain-Barré syndrome after some influenza vaccines at extremely low rates). But comprehensive reviews and many epidemiological studies have found no consistent evidence that routine vaccines cause autoimmune diseases overall. In fact, natural infections are often a more common trigger for autoimmunity than vaccines. When a signal appears, it’s investigated thoroughly (and policies are adjusted if needed). Google autoimmunity.
