NGFA and @GrainExport today called for the immediate reopening of the Eagle Pass and El Paso, Texas railroad crossings to allow for the immediate passage of trains between the United States and Mexico.

Roughly 45% of all rail cars moving to and from Mexico cross through El Paso and Eagle Pass – there isn’t enough capacity at the other four gateways to reroute them. Union Pacific urges the Eagle Pass and El Paso border crossings be reopened immediately. This is impacting:
• Agricultural products (grain held in six Midwest states)
• Food and beverages (beer and dry food products)
• Automotive (finished vehicles and parts)
• Consumer goods
• Industrial commodities (metals and cement)

We join Union Pacific Railroad in urging the Eagle Pass and El Paso border crossings be reopened immediately. Among other freight, agricultural products used to help feed the world (grain held in six Midwest states) are one of the goods currently halted.
We're gearing up for the region's largest indoor agribusiness tradeshow Nov. 17 - 18 in Wichita.
More than 100 exhibitors are currently signed up to show off their products and services. See who is exhibiting on our interactive map 👇

Refiners told SCOTUS today that #RINs & #RFS cause them to “go out of business.” But @EIAgov data show only 6 small refineries shut down since 2013 when RIN prices first gained value. 53 shut down from 1990-2012 when RINs were nonexistent or worthless! #Frivolous
We enjoyed our visit out to Cunningham today where without a set agenda, we spent more than an hour discussing our upcoming training programs, the legislative session, harvest and so much more. Thank you for being great hosts @Skylandgrain
The flight here on Sunday, a Capitol tour on Monday and now a meeting this afternoon ... We've been lucky enough to get to spend quite a bit of time with @RogerMarshallMD this week.
It's always tough to see the great ones retire, but we enjoyed sending Charlie Swayze off right after the last 42 years of dedication to #agribusiness and Farmers Coop Equity at Isabel.
Exhibitors have spent the last two days setting up their booths, wiping down equipment and making sure everyone knows #agribusiness is #survivingandthriving when the 33rd Kansas Agri Business Expo opens tomorrow morning.
It was fun to attend the Kansas Grain and Feed breakfast this morning. I enjoyed visiting with so many old friends from @kansasag and @KSCoopCouncil. The trade show was outstanding like normal.
And that's a wrap for our 2018 Tomorrow's Agribusiness Leaders class. The group heard from our board's Second Vice Chair Deb Clark and from Senators Ty Masterson and Dan Kerschen on voluntarily leadership yesterday in Wichita.
Thank you to Congressman Roger Marshal for his words of support of ethanol and year around E15 sales. Speaking at the Kansas Farm Bureau Leadership breakfast.
