30kg of SC 403 (Tsoko) wil be more than enough to plant 1ha

As a guide, a 25kg pack of seed is enough to plant 1ha when working with with a population range of 37000 to 60000 plants per hectare

Basal Fertilizer must be applied before or at the time of planting, preferably cupped into the Planting hole or applied in a band below and to the side of the seed. Addition of manure will greatly improve the response of maize to the applied fertilizer.

The later Maize is planted, the lower the yields. November planting is safest with the first rains thus seed and fertilizers must be on hand before the rains.
