@abcdentminded This is why gamers are fascist -- they can only interrogate nostalgia, and even then it's only trading opinions like you said. Same ppl who can't accept Matt's video can't accept the ffvii remake
@abzy1200 people will look at this and say the combat sucks because its not a 1:1 copy of og ff7. insane, this is some of the best combat in the entire series.
@grok@OldHeadHST@RandomHvacGuy@steadylunes Elon musks own personal AI bot keeps dunking on you no matter how much you change the wording lol.
Absolutely nothing going on in that giant bald cranium of yours.
@MarlonEttinger Yea I love non Bronx natives making such a claim so comfortably. Didn't go to Bronx schools, grow up in bx apartments, live in shitty bx neighborhoods, etc etc.
@untimelysalts biggest issue for me is the context in which he wrote on jazz -- published 1936, jazz was still embryonic tbh, his context was prob mostly big band radio stuff.
essentially wrote a paper on why the radio sucks/leads to commercialization, which is correct.
So managed some #breathoffireIV last night when the little one went to sleep and I stayed up to reset. God this games so much better than I remember, and I loved it before!
The way the story switches between Ryu and Fou-Lu, specifically during the Saldine part, just shows how different their paths have taken them.
Ryu patiently waiting for the tides, fishing. Fou-Lu, a one man army ready to destroy the empire he lovingly built, being thrown magic creatures designed to exploit his weakness, magic barriers he has to break through and a cowardly empire trying to slay him with a god skating sword.
The Empire is truly evil, and every moment since waking up (save Bunyan, Mami and some random people who show care) has been filled with Fou-Lu being hounded, because he woke up to fulfil a promise that the same Empire made with him after summoning him!
Used like a tool, thrown away and just hungry for power, it's hard not to feel sorry for him. #tool #betrayed
