They waited 6 mos before anyone said anything, it's an embarrassment to Baraboo that nothing is being done about this.

@News_Republic Every student, male & female, at that photo shoot, AND their parents, should be made to visit @ihmec. Make it a graduation requirement for those @barabooSD students, they all waited 6 mos to say anything. Every student should be held accountable 4 their actions or lack thereof.

My knowledge of it comes from knowing my tribal history, if I knew a legit site with the history I'd post it. Again, sorry I jumped the gun

@OhRichmond @k_lee0284 @barabooSD I'm sure any German would see the Nazi symbol when looking at the emblem, just as any First Nations person would see the powerful Thunderbird from any of our Native legends. Like I said earlier. People see what they want to see.

@k_lee0284 @barabooSD In Native American history the Thunderbird represents strength, power, honor, & protection. For Ho-Chunk's, it means whoever sees it will be a great war chief. It is actually the least offensive emblem I've seen, but that's a whole other topic
