در یک تماس تلفنی با برنامه زنده شبکه «منوتو»، شهروندی با نام مستعار «فاطمه» گفت که از اعضای خانواده یکی از مقامات ارشد نیروهای سرکوب‌گر جمهوری اسلامی است و فرماندهان امنیتی در حال «جمع‌آوری دلار و تهیه پاسپورت جعلی» برای خروج از کشور و انتقال خانواده‌های خود هستند.

فاطمه که با گریه صحبت می‌کرد، به نقش پدرش در عملیات سرکوب اعتراضات اشاره کرد و او را «هم‌سطح جنایتکار رادان»، فرمانده کل انتظامی جمهوری اسلامی توصیف کرد. او همچنین اعلام کرد در صورت نیاز حاضر است در دادگاه‌ علیه پدرش شهادت دهد.

فاطمه در ادامه خطاب به نیروهای امنیتی گفت فرماندهان شما «اولین کسانی خواهند بود که فرار می‌کنند» و از آنان خواست خشونت علیه معترضان را متوقف کنند.

A witness to the Rasht fire and massacre told me that as people fled the flames, they saw security forces positioned at the end of the escape routes, ready to fire.

People were shouting, “Don’t be afraid. If they kill us, Trump will target them tomorrow.”
