If Daniel Penny spends a day in prison, then the Trump DOJ should:

-Launch an immediate investigation of the New York justice system, just like the investigations Obama weaponized against big city police departments.

-Immediately cut off the $3.4 billion federal grant going to the MTA, and all other federal funds — no taxpayer dollars should subsidize transit systems that let criminals terrorize the innocent.

-Similarly, cut off any federal funds going to New York's courts or prison systems.

-Issue a blanket ban against hiring New York prosecutors into federal positions.

I'll admit I used to kind of roll my eyes when people claimed that President Trump was being "persecuted." I was looking at it through the distorted filter of the media.
