@blrcitytraffic Richmond Rd daily & several times a day, for years. Vehicles crossing the road, in the wrong direction, so they can take the shortest route towards Residency Rd. Baffling there is no consequence though there’s a traffic booth just a few 100mts away
@NalinisKitchen Point to her being body shaming is in poor taste, period, mother or not. Point to you being no one can grudge you a choice you believe is a better one. You could have engaged her on vegetarianism if indeed you had proof of it being a better choice.
@NalinisKitchen Should ask Swara if it’s ok to bodyshame a nonbreastfeeding, nonmother? Almost makes breastfeeding moms sound like they are weak, in need of protection. Or. Better than the rest & hence how dare we shame them. If it’s the latter, isn’t that smug self righteousness right there??
"Years ago, anthropologist Margaret Mead was asked by a student what she considered to be the first sign of civilization in a culture. The student expected Mead to talk about fishhooks or clay pots or grinding stones.
But no. Mead said that the first sign of civilization in an ancient culture was a femur (thighbone) that had been broken and then healed. Mead explained that in the animal kingdom, if you break your leg, you die. You cannot run from danger, get to the river for a drink or hunt for food. You are meat for prowling beasts. No animal survives a broken leg long enough for the bone to heal.
A broken femur that has healed is evidence that someone has taken time to stay with the one who fell, has bound up the wound, has carried the person to safety and has tended the person through recovery. Helping someone else through difficulty is where civilization starts, Mead said."
We are at our best when we serve others. Be civilized. (Facebook

@tishasaroyan@KabirPandit “I am Indian” could be a good start to a conversation on the subject I thought. What a disproportionate reaction from Ruchika to what appears like a well meaning suggestion from Kabir. Oops but I’m Brahmin too, let me duck for cover.
@EurekaForbes terrible customer experience. Your team has been unable to arrange a simple service request despite 4 calls - Nov 22,24,29 and today. Just one proactive call is our ask. What a hellish month of awful cust experiences!
@ICICILombard in the end I had to decide against topping up my mom’s policy (wonder if your reluctance was coz she is a senior citizen) though I was willing to pay the premium you named until you suddenly changed it. Sure, I got paid lip service but no resolution. For the record.
@ICICILombard 2 different premium amounts given to me over 3 calls in 2 wks 🤯 This is for my senior citizen mother’s health policy. Please check the recordings you so diligently inform callers of! Vaade nibhao aur jald se! @RajeshRege@RadhaIyer1510
@ACTFibernet why do you need my location & access to my phone camera, before I can log a simple complaint that your service is not working? And you have designed the system to not move ahead without these details being shared. Don’t you understand the concept of privacy? Shame.
@BBMPCOMM @CMofKarnataka @Naveen_MIRROR @DeccanHerald@timesofindia@BbmpEast Missed adding the pic as of sept 1 2021 indicating the progress made. Completely built, painted, with a swanky brick facade, not visible here. Langford Gardens. Despite multiple escalations over years
@BBMPCOMM @BbmpEast @Naveen_MIRROR Langford Gdns illegal construction continues on a Sunday. Goons sent to intimidate a neighbour last week. When does this end? And how? I hope not again in favour of the rich and influential? @BBMPCOMM Sir, I request you to right these wrongs.
Langford Court fined for not segregating waste properly. Lesson in not letting things slip. Impressed by the marshals and the zone lead’s handling of the usual “we segregate but it gets mixed eventually so what’s the point” view @BBMPSWMSplComm @Randeep_Dev
Watched“Soorarai Potru”, in Kannada,a fictional biography of Capt Gopinath”Simply Fly”.I recommend youth should see how impossible dreams could be realized;power of an insignificant man/woman is enormous, there is power in each of us to show Leadership and Change Had Tears seeing.
