We install a lot of Ubiquiti hardware for clients and one of my favorite features of their Gen6 cameras is their built in on-camera “edge” AI, including license plate reading. It works quite well from what we’ve experienced so far and they’re among the most affordable quality network cameras I know of.

Obviously this isn’t open-source or portable, but it’s closed-circuit (cloud connection is optional, data stays on your physical NVR either way) and is pretty much a turn-key solution.

Rain is annoying because it kinda wrecks my yard work schedule for the weekend, but it’s also beautiful in its own way.

I remember the HP OfficeJet 4000 printers had a function that let you change the default “ready” text on the screen to anything. We had fun with that one. My favorite was “Insert Coin” lol

@wholemars I've noticed the same thing in my CT if I forget to exit Summon mode in my app. Just tap the "back" arrow to exit summon mode and FSD will be available again.

Your issue might be something different than mine, but it's something to keep an eye on.
