Friend, in my stance for TRUTH, I may be for you today & against you tomorrow. It's because I have no allegiance outside of TRUTH. If you're on the side of TRUTH, we're on the same side. If not, we're adversaries, even if for a brief moment. TRUTH is always the measuring rod.
@lahandsome@udemeAkpan01 This is not a personal defense of the preacher in question. I'm just dealing with the issue as a scenario. But when God needs to get something across to you, He can make sure no one else gets it. It's only unfair if God is somehow not entitled to exercise His ownership rights.
@KhalifaSunmola@RevToluAgboola You cannot teach the truth completely without addressing falsehood frontally. If Jesus couldn't do it in dealing with the evil of the Pharisees & the apostles couldn't do it without offending the evil religious structures they encountered, you can't do it either.
Selah.
@KhalifaSunmola@RevToluAgboola I have been around long enough to see the damage that false structures do in people's lives. I understand that living in denial can often be a coping mechanism especially when faced with the rot that has been caused by respected figures. But it doesn't take away the evil they do.
@ArBroni@udemeAkpan01 It's only cheating when the Creator does not have the right to do with it what He wills. If you move your money from one bank to another or withdraw your investment in Dangote to buy BUA cement shares, you didn't cheat anyone. You simply exercised your right of ownership.
@jeff_dogun@udemeAkpan01 First, God is not a 'what' but a 'Who'
Second if you really don't know God, then kindly sit out on conversations that involve His will, person, & power. If our ancestors were smart enough, the white man wouldn't have had the upper hand. Has nothing to do with religion.
@kevwe_156@udemeAkpan01 I advise thst you read Genesis and Exodus in one stretch with the kind to understand the nature of God and how He relates with His creation. You will see why nobody is paint God as anything. He owns the land and gets to decides who the land is sold to. It's His SOVEREIGNTY.
@Ikopima09@udemeAkpan01 God owns all lands and can decide that the land will only serve the purpose for which He already preordained it. It's up to the seller to get with God and find out if this is the case. In the even that it is, his best bet is to strike a deal with the church and sell.
Selah.
@ArBroni@udemeAkpan01 Read Genesis and Exodus through one more time and come back with this question again. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein. Yes God can decide that tbe land will only go to the man He wanted it sos to.
Selah.
@beemuhamma@udemeAkpan01 If you're the one on the other end, ensure you're sensitive enough to know if God wants you to sell to that man. Don't conduct your business in the flesh and expect not to clash with God. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein.
@lahandsome@udemeAkpan01 Lol. You guys seem to forget thst the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein.
Just pray that it's not God that has that land on hold, otherwise even his children may struggle to sell that land to someone else.
@jeff_dogun@udemeAkpan01 How about asking if the seller also checked with God is he should have accepted Bishop Oyedepo's offer. The earth is still the Lord's. The seller ought to know that God's will is superior to anything else. God is able to handle His creation however He deems fit.
Selah.
@Chi_Neyo@udemeAkpan01 So you read Exodus & came to the conclusion that God doesn’t use circumstances to compel us to accept His will if necessary.
God doesn’t owe any of us explanations for what He chooses to do with His creation. Bishop Oyedepo is as subject to God as the owner of the land is.
Selah
Try building your house on a faulty foundation first. Christianity is not as impractical & unreasonable as many think it to be. The faulty structures are the reasons righteous structures do not make impact. God called Jeremiah to pull down and build, not ignore.
Selah.
@RevToluAgboola We can honour fathers ❌
We must honour fathers ✅
Also, we may not necessarily touch the structures they built, hence we can err doing this. What we should do is to build the right structure and beckon on people to follow. When people see what's right, thru will follow.

I think you should try doing a proper study on that Scripture you quoted. He made us a 'kingdom of priests' not kings and priests. You can also look at the text in other translations apart from KJV. Even in the KJV, first time that statement was made, it was 'kingdom of priests'.
You're right, "it takes a king to decree" .
Revelation 1:6, 5:10
And hath made us KINGS and priests unto God and his Father;
God has made us KINGS, so that gives us the liberty to decree.
I believe therefore spoke, we also believe and therefore speak. 2 cor 4v13.
Job 22:29 NIV
When people are brought low and you say, ‘Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast.
Our declaring is not of ourselves. Just as our faith and authority in Christ is not of ourselves. We speak in agreement with what God has said.
James 4v13-17 had absolutely nothing to do with decreeing. It was about making definitive plans like you're sure of tomorrow. There are people with 5 years plans, 10 year plans, without God in their consciousness. They plan and execute like they hold the future. Like they determine tomorrow. These were the people James was speaking to. Not a man speaking in the prophetic and declaring prophetic words of Scriptures, over their lives by faith.
See the scripture you referenced here and a commentary attached.

@deleosunmakinde There are those who try to reduce everything to a science. "This ministry is growing because they pray in tongues for six hours daily". This sort of obsession with speculative analysis is often borne out of an idolization of material success as a yardstick for measuring ministry.
