Yoshi-P says in the new Famitsu 40th Anniversary magazine interview that there are still so many things he wants to challenge himself with.
Of course, FFXIV is still going on, so he has no plans to retire at this moment and wants to keep moving forward by giving his all.
He says he also has so many ideas for various games that is currently stored away, and he would like to one day be able to realize those ideas too.
In terms of technology, there is much you can do with AI and the server side, so he hopes that the two can be implemented to improve game development too.
His advice to creators in the industry is that because the industry is constantly changing, with rising costs, advancement of technology, less free time from consumers, changes in markets, etc., the world is in a difficult state at the moment. However, despite those challenges, it is what makes this industry so interesting.
He hopes that those in the industry can continue to help each other, join forces, and continue to work together moving forward.
Yoshi-P says he has no plans to retire any time soon!
"There are still so many challenges I want to take on, including, of course, the evolution of Final Fantasy XIV, and I have no intention of retiring anytime soon, so I intend to continue running at full speed.
I also still have many game ideas stored away as project proposals, and I hope someday they are able to see the light of day."
