#amazonsmile@Amazon has decided that the charities they choose to support are more important than the charities YOU choose to support. I have no love for amazon but respected the fact I was allowed use my purchases to support @LiveAction for the last bunch of years.
How incredibly disappointing of Amazon to discontinue its #AmazonSmile program. I liked knowing that some of my money was going to a good cause of my choice. This is going to affect how much I spend on Amazon.
I am disappointed that @amazon is shutting down #amazonsmile.
Among other things, they are focusing on charities where Amazon employees live? So, once again, those in rural areas are completely disregarded?
Amazon, this decision sucks.
idk, #AmazonSmile That seems like a good amount of money and to a charity that *I* chose. That *needs* the money. Amazon is curating who and what to donate to in order to wield their money like a weapon, cutting out charities like @batworld
โThe program has not grown to create the impact that we had originally hopedโ.
Seems like quite an impact for my little local animal shelter, you ghouls. #Amazonsmile
That "Update on AmazonSmile" in your email? Amazon is shutting it down, saying their "ability to have an impact was often spread too thin." $400M to charity is a huge impact, and even $15,908 to my favorite charity doesn't look "thin." This is disappointing. #AmazonSmile
Just saw that @amazon is cancelling #amazonsmile. "Not grown to create the impact they'd hoped"? Why not just increase the percentage donated? Instead they'll donate to corporate chosen "charities". ๐ I liked knowing my money was going toward a shelter I had direct knowledge of.
These numbers arenโt โtoo littleโ to the smaller charities that receive funds. Please donโt do this - every time I got mad about your next woke act I told myself โwe stay to help the animals, woke or notโโฆyouโre taking too much away. Please reconsider. #amazonsmile
