Programs of the Bangladesh Awami League for the observance of significant days in the fiery month of March, the month of great independence

March is the fiery month of our great independence. Under the undisputed leadership of the Father of the Nation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the country achieved independence. Responding to Bangabandhu’s call, the freedom-loving masses fought a nine-month bloody war, and in exchange for the supreme sacrifice of three million martyrs and the honor of two hundred thousand violated mothers and sisters, the nation attained independence. March is a month of pride, pain, and inspiration in our national life. Historically, this fiery month of March carries great significance.

Inspired by the spirit of the Liberation War, the Bangladesh Awami League has undertaken month-long programs. To observe with due respect the historic 7 March speech of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, his birth anniversary on 17 March, Genocide Day on 25 March, and Independence Day on 26 March, the party has adopted the following programs:

7 March – Programs for the Historic Speech Day of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
•Hoisting of the national and party flags at all party offices across the country at sunrise
•Paying tribute at the historic Bangabandhu Bhaban premises at Dhanmondi-32
•Paying tribute at the grave of the Father of the Nation in Tungipara
•Recitation of the historic speech and discussion meetings
•Organizing dialogues at various levels to highlight the importance and significance of this speech among youth, students, and the new generation

17 March – Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
•Hoisting of the national and party flags at all party offices across the country at sunrise
•Paying tribute at the historic Bangabandhu Bhaban premises at Dhanmondi-32
•Paying tribute at the grave of the Father of the Nation in Tungipara
•Discussion meetings marking Bangabandhu’s birthday
•Various suitable programs involving children
•Distribution of food and assistance among the poor and destitute

25 March – Programs for Genocide Day
•Discussion meetings demanding international recognition of the genocide
•Photo and documentary exhibitions on social media

26 March – Programs for Independence Day
•Hoisting of the national and party flags at all party offices across the country at sunrise
•Paying tribute at the historic Bangabandhu Bhaban premises at Dhanmondi-32
•Paying tribute at the grave of the Father of the Nation in Tungipara
•Discussion meetings marking Independence Day

In line with the central programs of the Bangladesh Awami League, corresponding activities will be undertaken nationwide down to district/city, upazila/thana, and municipal branches. All affiliated and associate organizations are invited to observe separate, time-appropriate programs of their own.

Programs may be modified, revised, added, or reduced if necessary.

18.56% in One Hour — A Mathematical Miracle or Manipulation?

Official figures show turnout rising from 14.32% at 11:00am to 32.88% by 12:00pm — an increase of 18.56% in just one hour.

With 127.7 million registered voters, that jump equals roughly 23.7 million votes cast in 60 minutes.

Let’s break it down:

32,789 polling centres nationwide
≈723 votes per centre in one hour
≈12 votes per minute per centre
If 4 booths per centre → 3 votes per minute per booth
That’s one vote every 20 seconds

Now compare that to the standard voting process: ID verification, ink marking, ballot issuance, entering the booth, stamping, and depositing the ballot — typically taking several minutes per voter.

So the question stands:
Is one completed vote every 20 seconds realistic under normal conditions?

Critics say such numbers don’t reflect organic participation — but a pre-arranged outcome dressed up as democracy.

২০১১ সালে আমি এক মাস মালদিপে ছিলাম। সরকারি কাজে। আমি মালদিপ দেখে অবাক হয়ে গিয়েছিলাম। একটা মানুষের মনে অসুখ নাই। টেনশন নাই। মালদিপের মুসলমানরা বাংলাদেশের যে কোনও খাঁটি মুসলমানের চেয়েও বেশি অর্থডক্স। ধর্ম মানা এবং পালন করার দিক থেকে আমেরিকার evangelical খ্রিস্টানদের সাথে তাদের তুলনা করা চলে। জীবনযাত্রায় আধুনিক। সেই দেশে কোনও হিন্দু ঘৃণা নাই। ওরা অনেক কিছুর জন্য শ্রীলংকার উপর নির্ভরশীল। এমন কি ভাল জামাকাপড় কেনার জন্যও। কিন্তু ওদের দেশে কোনও বৌদ্ধ ঘৃণাও নাই।
শেখ হাসিনা তাঁর আমলের আমলামন্ত্রীদের বিদেশ সফর করতে দিতেন উদারভাবে। আমি শুনেছি তিনি তা দিতেন যাতে ওদের চোখকান খোলে। কোনও হারামজাদার চোখকান খোলেনি। ছেলেরা মেয়ে দেখেছে। মেয়েরা দোকান দেখেছে। ওদের চোখ শুধু এতটুকু খোলা ছিল।
কান ওদের কারও ছিল এমন প্রমাণ পাওয়া যায় না।
