@maggsnaidu @hlubizer @mokone_eddie @Our_DA @MYANC The old saying "power corrupts & absolute power corrupts absolutely" holds true - look where ANC controls all the levers of power at provincial & local level and tell me one place where they are not absolutely corrupt. We need checks & balances between national & provincial gvt.

DA definitely better at provincial/local gvt, which could also provide check/balance against ANC national gvt. Giving ANC all levels is why we are in the mess we are!

BTW, I have no party affiliation as IMO no party has the right answers to our problems. Empty barrels one & all!

@maggsnaidu It's clear from most debates about @CyrilRamaphosa that people trust him but not ANC. The danger that giving him a strong mandate might still result in "recall" is a sticking point. If we were voting for a President not a party, "recall" problem would be solved - Change system?

Policies are irrelevant because there aren't any coherent ones anyway. Time to change the system?

They do not have the intellectual capacity to understand short-term pain at Eskom will bring long-term gains. They should rather be thinking "more jobs, more members"
