Firefighters contained a residential structure fire on the 2700 block of B street this morning . No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation. Units from Fresno County Fire, City of Kingsburg Fire assisted. Remember to make sure you have working smoke detectors.

2 Firefighter Paramedics from the Selma Fire Department are currently serving at Adventist Health Hospital in Bakersfield to help augment hospital staff as COVID-19 continues to tax our state’s health system. Thank you for your selfless dedication during this 14-day assignment.

Today the proud members of #OFD offered our support to the family and friends of our brother Sean Laffan, as his body was escorted from Summit Medical Center to Chapel of the Chimes. Plans for a Celebration of Life are being developed. We’ll share details at the appropriate time.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the loss of one of our own. This morning, the San Francisco Fire Department lost one of our own in a Line of Duty Death. Jason Cortez was a beloved 13-year veteran with the SFFD who tragically lost his life at the age of 42. (Cont)
