Things are bad but there's a teenage sparrow at work who had four younger birbs added to her group and immediately decided to adopt them. She be feeding them herself and trying to tear up newspaper for nest materials and I love her :')

Ah working in a craft store and caring for injured songbirds seem like calm comfortable jobs until ur always covered in cuts from glass & heavy duty staples and sore from moving entire refrigerators, respectively.

Realized I've always struggled with work/art/relaxation balance at home because it is not a good thing to have your bedroom double as a studio and an office when there isn't even room for a dresser

Spent an hour digging through mislabeled file boxes that should've been shredded years ago, looking for one (1) order receipt from 2017 for a customer, which happened to be from the single month of files someone shredded EARLY

Continually upset that I have no way to share my writing/OC content with ppl besides art right now. Like I can't draw on my phone in the dark but I can open google docs and make frightening old gods seem more human.

They got even more creative when I asked for their favorite color to help pick mats. So I got to help them make the most rad lil order I've taken so far, which they excitedly described as, word for word, VERY Phantom of the Opera. Idk, it was just the highlight of my week 😭 2/2

A customer brought her young kid to get them a custom frame. It was a simple black n white art print & they were v quiet but the second I asked them directly whether they wanted a fancy or funky frame to start with, they opened up like I just shared my 64-pack of crayons 1/2
