@Grummz Honestly that looks more like it was either intentionally designed or generated to be meaningless lorem ipsum to focus more on the vibe, and I'm completely fine with that.
@Lizzergas Some games extend the visible map beyond the walkable map then darken or desaturate to show it's the border, kind of like bleed in printing. Looks like it could work for your game since it has a lot of solid color.
It's like that one time Asmongold stopped playing WoW and went to FF14. The most Destiny 2-adjacent game right now is not Marathon and the playerbase is not a captive audience.
Pettiness and emotions are one part. As a (casual) ex-D2 player I will never touch Marathon because the whole genre including Arc Raiders and Tarkov are just not up my alley.
From Cross' POV, he's already looking at an imminent viewership crash because the game he built his career on is about to go into life support. I'm sure he's already planned next steps for himself. Gaming the scenarios out, now that Sony/Bungie aren't co-operating, the payoff table for continuing to co-operate with Sony/Bungie doesn't look good.
@Pirat_Nation 5090 is a consumer card isn't it? I don't think there's a replacement for it. The Ascend is a server part. It means the PC graphics ceiling in China is lower. There's still some knock on effects for AI but local inference is generally a small market.
@Pirat_Nation I do think it's a big deal when people use AI with the intention to infringe copyright, like doing an IMG2IMG of Weathering With You key art or Vydia claiming a copyright on Murphy Campbell's voice. But that's bad people using tools not bad tools.
Bank of America analyst is recommending that GTA VI launch at $80 to help set a new industry price standard.
Speaking at the iicon convention in Las Vegas, he stated,
“We think it’s in Take-Two’s self-interest, as a publisher and partner to many developers, to raise the price point for the entire industry.”
He noted that pricing GTA VI at $70 could limit other publishers from successfully charging $80.
Recent $80 titles like Mario Kart World and several Microsoft first-party games have already tested the waters, but most gamers don’t want to spend so much money in a videogame
@Pirat_Nation@SV_108 I feel like these days if a game journalist complains, the game is on the right track. If they praise something, I'll be very concerned!
@Pirat_Nation People go to influencers to validate their opinions, and yes it's possible to form an opinion before playing. An entire cottage industry for gacha character gameplay leaks exists precisely because people want an informed opinion before buying and playing a character.
Fleshing out movement stuff. Running, airdashing, dodging. Honestly, I'm the bottleneck. I'm slow at animating, after everything was animated Kimi 2.6 coded all the logic quickly.
@nichegamer Agreed, it kind of blurs the lines if there's too much focus on affiliate sales.
For automation, it looks like WordPress supports MCP. An LLM could read through a backlog of articles, check if any game(s) are mentioned positively, add a widget, then save a Draft for approval.
@Live2Doll That's innovation not arrogance. If you work on something it's natural to think of ways to optimize. The ceiling is always going up, with or without you so don't worry.
