@big_chaks@Steez_47 Luther isn’t a pop song. We haven’t got a full story about TDE on any song before ht. pt 6. ALSO, storytelling doesn’t have to be about your own life. ALSO, (very unlikely) Kendrick could js make an album dropping good music again like DAMN. Less storytelling. Good music.
@big_chaks@Steez_47 GNX was defo dropped for the super bowl. And, it still has amazing storytelling such as reincarnated and the heart pt. 6. Also, you js lying abt his “only real strength” being storytelling. Luther is still the biggest song to ever come out since it came out - no storytelling.
@KINGisDOTTA@gmalone@donte8821885487 cool but yet again, your tryna make it sound like your opinion is objective like wherever you grew up doesn't influence that what your said. IMO I strongly believe that GNX is a way better sounding album than Iceman, and that's my opinion based on the music I have and do listento
@JacksonLaRon@TheTitanBaddie Eh? It's big me cuz he's the best. Even regarding streams, he is top 20th most listened to artist with one of the smallest catalogues of music out of practically all of them.
@INGQWELEKWAZULU@TheTitanBaddie He must have got lucky with TPAB too – regarded as one of the best rap albums... like ever. He must have also got lucky with one of the most commercially successful albums in 2017, DAMN. HE MUST HAVE ALSO GOT LUCKY WITH MR. MORALE, GRAMMY WINNER AND THE MOST INTROSPECTIVE ALBUMS.
@swelloprincipal@TheTitanBaddie Yeah, Kendrick is competitive – he wants to the best, not necessarily the biggest. He has solidified himself as one of the greatest through his impactful spectacles of music – not farming streams. I understand your point, but why should Kendrick reject a feature request from them
@xqzt777@TheTitanBaddie Or... he could be simply working on his album a lot – for like a really long time. Hence, the higher quality and deeper songs. Kendrick said this already, if he wanted to he could just slap a bunch of singles onto an album, but Kendrick creates art – not playlists.
@ForilTogo@TheTitanBaddie This has to be AI. Drake, evidently, released as much commercially accessible music as possible – sacrificing deep and authentic messaging for streams. Kendrick takes an unbelievable amount of time and effort making sure he can connect with his listeners and portray his ideas.
@centroFJ @TheTitanBaddie Unless you want replies, what you said is completely subjective. Drake makes commercially more accessible music than Kendrick. This makes sense as Drake's albums are more like playlists than actual albums. Unlike Kendrick who is more of an album artist. Hence, the better quality.
