Teklay Gebremedhin, interim administrator of Northwestern Tigray zone, told Addis Standard that over 270 people have died of hunger in the zone over the past three months alone. About 100 deaths were reported from IDP centers in #Shire, #Shiraro, #Asgede, #Endabaguna, & #Adi_Daero, whereas, the remaining deaths were registered in various villages in the zone, according to Teklay.

“Things are getting worse than before, people are dying every day”, Teklay noted, adding that there are thousands of new arrivals of IDPs in #Endabaguna who also need urgent food aid.
