Those of us commuting to work early are simply trying to support our families.

While I understand you have the right to cycle whenever you choose, I kindly ask that you consider the impact on other road users during rush hour.

We worry about cyclists suddenly swerving into our lane to avoid obstacles, or potentially colliding with each other and falling into the road.

My primary concern is safety – for both cyclists and drivers. We are all just trying to get to our destinations safely and on time.

Traffic is heavy, everyone is trying to get to work on time, and even with the best intentions, accidents can happen. I, and I'm sure many others, feel particularly uneasy during this time, constantly needing to be extra vigilant.

I understand that cyclists have the right to use the roads, and I appreciate that many of you stay in the leftmost lane. However, even when cyclists are near the curb, it can still create anxious moments for drivers during rush hour.

I'm writing to respectfully request that you consider scheduling your recreational cycling activities/training/testing outside of peak rush hour. Specifically, I'm concerned about the period between 6:30 am and 9:30 am.
