World Environment Day🌍
From space, Earth is observed as a single, interconnected system - continuously changing across oceans, land, and atmosphere.

Lake Balkhash in Kazakhstan is one of the largest lakes in Asia and the 15th largest in the world.
Its striking turquoise-blue colour comes from suspended glacial sediment flowing in from the Ili River, combined with winter ice melt and intense sunlight across the region’s arid landscape 🌊
From frozen to flowing in just 52 days 👁️
This video shows the Manicouagan Reservoir in Quebec on 11 April 2026 and again on 02 June 2026.
Known as the “Eye of Quebec,” the 1,942 km² ring-shaped lake was formed by a meteorite strike over 200 million years ago and is so large it can be seen from space.
🌋 Ambae (Aoba) in Vanuatu is one of the Pacific’s largest and most active volcanoes.
Standing 1,496m high, this large basaltic shield volcano features a 12km-wide caldera with deep crater lakes.
