Today was a lot more comfortable in the office as the Senate proclaimed it "Sneaker Day" via a resolution. This long-standing tradition celebrates sneakers by recognizing their origin, trends, health benefits & more. Let's increase awareness of American made products & have fun!

On 6/16, 6/17 & 6/18 from 9am-1pm- The Legal Services of LI is hosting a FREE Pro-Bono Project connecting eligible Suffolk County residents with volunteer attorneys who will assist with Guardianship Issues, Estate Matters, Bankruptcy & more. Appointments are by Zoom or Phone only

Our thoughts are with Xavier Taylor & his family in NJ as he remains in extremely critical condition & on a ventilator after being struck in the neck after a wild throw caused him to collapse & suffer cardiac arrest while warming up for his youth baseball game. #XavierStrong

Today, my office joined local officials & residents for the grand opening of Lotto Park in Lake Grove. This outstanding project has turned a long-vacant property into a vibrant community asset that will be enjoyed by families for years to come. Congratulations!

My office was honored to attend last night's SC Auxiliary Police meeting & present a proclamation recognizing 75 years of dedicated service to our communities. For generations, these volunteers have played an important role in supporting public safety keeping our residents safe.

Last night, my office attended the Pattersquash Creek Civic Association meeting. While usually we get to hear about the things going on in the community, tonight they were treated to a showcase of art created by William Floyd Students! There is such talent in our youth on display

On 6/2-6/4-from 7am-6pm-The SC Department of Public Works’ Division of Vector Control plans to treat parts of the following marshes by helicopter to control mosquito larvae. Should weather conditions prevent completion of the work, it will be continued on the next suitable day.

Yesterday, I was honored to attend & speak at the opening & dedication ceremony of the brand-new Veterans Memorial at Meadowbrook Pointe in Medford. This beautiful memorial serves as a lasting tribute to the brave men & women who have served our nation & protected our freedoms.

Come join the 4th Legislative District at Veterans Park in Selden on 6/13 at 1pm as they kick-off 'America's 250th' with amazing re-enactments, the hometown heroes veterans wall unveiling, a parade, a car contest, a Southbound concert & so much more. You won't want to miss this!

At 79 years young, today Roger Fonnest walked 22 miles to raise awareness of Veterans Suicide. I was honored to be able to join him for his last 2 miles. After the walk, while I was at the Dunton Inn, it was fitting that we presented them with a New York State Senate Empire Award

Every 13 min someone’s life is taken too soon by an overdose, which is why preparedness with Narcan is vital. Last night at South Country Library, SC Sheriff’s office taught how to dispense Narcan to help save a life in those critical moments before first responders arrive.

On 5/30 at 11am come join the 5th Annual 22 mile walk for Veteran Suicide Awareness. The Dunton Inn will have live bands, a pig roast & more. Tragically, 22 veterans die by suicide every day & events like this bring awareness & funding to programs that save veterans' lives.
