My office was honored to attend last night's SC Auxiliary Police meeting & present a proclamation recognizing 75 years of dedicated service to our communities. For generations, these volunteers have played an important role in supporting public safety keeping our residents safe.
Last night, my office attended the Pattersquash Creek Civic Association meeting. While usually we get to hear about the things going on in the community, tonight they were treated to a showcase of art created by William Floyd Students! There is such talent in our youth on display
On 6/2-6/4-from 7am-6pm-The SC Department of Public Worksโ Division of Vector Control plans to treat parts of the following marshes by helicopter to control mosquito larvae. Should weather conditions prevent completion of the work, it will be continued on the next suitable day.
Yesterday, I was honored to attend & speak at the opening & dedication ceremony of the brand-new Veterans Memorial at Meadowbrook Pointe in Medford. This beautiful memorial serves as a lasting tribute to the brave men & women who have served our nation & protected our freedoms.

At 79 years young, today Roger Fonnest walked 22 miles to raise awareness of Veterans Suicide. I was honored to be able to join him for his last 2 miles. After the walk, while I was at the Dunton Inn, it was fitting that we presented them with a New York State Senate Empire Award

Every 13 min someoneโs life is taken too soon by an overdose, which is why preparedness with Narcan is vital. Last night at South Country Library, SC Sheriffโs office taught how to dispense Narcan to help save a life in those critical moments before first responders arrive.
On 5/30 at 11am come join the 5th Annual 22 mile walk for Veteran Suicide Awareness. The Dunton Inn will have live bands, a pig roast & more. Tragically, 22 veterans die by suicide every day & events like this bring awareness & funding to programs that save veterans' lives.
