Here's something you might not have realized: there's a really important #climate bill wrapped inside of the #COVIDrelief package. @sarahkaplan48 lays it out, from clean energy subsidies to the phase down of refrigerants that are warming the planet: https://t.co/iLj5dkNK9K
NEW: a big win in our fight against the climate crisis! The U.S. will phase down the use of a potent pollutant: hydrofluorocarbons, or HFCs. Included in the annual spending deal is a provision to reduce HFCs by 85% in the next 15 years, which will help reduce global warming.
For too long, important voices haven’t had a seat at the table when discussing climate.
Our #CaseForClimateAction prioritizes environmental justice, detailing how we can protect & invest in the low income communities & communities of color most vulnerable to a changing climate.
Congrats on releasing the #CaseForClimateAction report, @SenDemsClimate!

Giant fossil fuel companies are funneling billions in dark money through front groups to lobby against climate action.

For more than a year, we've been uncovering how Americans are experiencing the climate crisis & charting a path toward big, bold solutions.
Our #CaseForClimateAction report documents our findings. Here’s a #thread of the key takeaways, chapter by chapter. https://t.co/a8c4SKrmqM
America has the chance to again be the powerhouse of global innovation as we work to solve the crisis.
To do this, the federal government needs to increase R&D funding & tax incentives to spur the technological improvements and innovation needed to combat the climate crisis.
The world needs American leadership to tackle the climate crisis.
That means we need to recommit to global agreements to reduce emissions, use our international engagement to support climate solutions worldwide & incorporate climate change into foreign policy decision-making.
