📚It was a pleasure welcoming students from Goshen Center School to the Capitol! These young constituents got a firsthand look at how CT’s government works, learned about the legislative process, and discovered what it means to have a voice in their community.
☕️Join us for coffee! State Representative Karen Reddington-Hughes and I will be at Patty’s Restaurant in Litchfield on Friday, June 5th, from 9:00–10:00 a.m. for “Coffee & Conversation.” Hope to see you there!

The rain didn’t stop us from paying tribute to those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. I had the privilege of attending Memorial Day ceremonies with my son and Rep. Buckbee in New Milford and with Rep. Reddington-Hughes at the American Legion Post 27. 🇺🇸
Today, we honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Memorial Day is a solemn reminder that the freedoms we hold dear come at a profound cost. We are forever grateful to those who have served and protected our country. We will never forget.
I had the pleasure of joining Rep. Karen Reddington-Hughes to honor Hopkins Vineyard for a remarkable achievement. Their 2024 “Heritage” Riesling was recently served to King Charles III at a White House State Dinner. Congrats to Hopkins Vineyard! You’ve made our district proud!
This morning, Sen. Harding joined host Gary Byron on The Talk of Connecticut to discuss a proposed 11% electricity rate hike from one of Connecticut’s largest utility companies. The hardworking people in our state are already stretched thin. They shouldn’t have to worry about keeping the lights on.
During the 2026 Legislative Session, Senate Republicans put forward a proposal to eliminate Public Benefits Charges from your electric bill and lower electricity rates, but it was voted down on party lines. Connecticut residents deserve better. Listen to the interview to hear more.
From press conferences and a Farmers Forum to the Senate floor, I’ve stood with CT’s farmers. Legislation providing millions in tax credits and grants has now passed both chambers. I urge Gov. Lamont to sign this bill. It’s time we give farmers the support they deserve!
To every officer who shows up for our communities every day, your selflessness and dedication do not go unnoticed. I will always advocate for the support and resources you deserve.Thank you for all that you do. #NationalPoliceWeek
On this Mother’s Day, we celebrate the remarkable women whose strength, love, and resilience shape the world around us. To all the incredible moms across Connecticut, thank you for everything you do today and every day.
The 2026 Legislative Session is officially adjourned! To every resident of the 30th District who has trusted me to be your voice in Hartford, thank you. It is truly the honor of a lifetime. Now comes the best part — getting back out into the district, and connecting with you!
Happening now: The debate over parental and educational rights for homeschool, private and parochial families. H.B. 5468 targets thousands of people who have shown up, spoken out, and exercised their right to choose the type of education that’s best for their children.
I was proud to honor the law enforcement and K-9 officers who protect our Capitol and communities in the Senate. These officers go above and beyond to keep lawmakers, staff, and visitors safe. Proud to recognize their world-class K-9 training program and unwavering dedication!
You should have the right to make the medical decisions that are best for you and your family. Yesterday, I stood with my Senate Republican colleagues and spoke out in favor of medical freedom. Watch my full remarks.

Watch this update to learn about my priorities for the last few weeks of the 2026 Legislative Session. I’m laser-focused on making our state more affordable, reducing tax burdens, and securing funding for critical services and programs in our communities.
It was great meeting with CT dairy farmers today, including Arethusa Farm. These are hardworking families who feed our communities and contribute to our state economy. They deserve our support, not more red tape!
Great news! The Northwest CT Food Hub is receiving a $200K grant to purchase locally grown food and distribute it to schools, pantries, and community programs in our region. This means more local produce reaching neighbors in need while supporting the farmers who grow it.
