So I found out the City of Indianapolis is involved with the “By Design” initiative…

By Design is a City of Indianapolis project developed through the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund’s CityStart program.

The stated goal is to use stories of wealth creation to shape future “people-centered policy change,” with a core focus on Black wealth and creating a financial empowerment blueprint for the city.

Now they’re rolling out the inaugural Black Wealth Crawl.

Think of it like a bookstore crawl or bar crawl, except the goal is to visit Black-owned businesses across Indianapolis.

According to the Indy Chamber, “spending at Black-owned businesses keeps dollars and wealth in the community” and that’s one of the core ideas behind By Design.

So let’s just stack the facts:
• City of Indianapolis initiative
• Explicitly centered on Black wealth creation
• Designed to inform future city policy
• City staff and taxpayer-supported partners involved

The funding may come through philanthropy, but the end goal is still a city-backed effort focused on shaping economic outcomes.

This is what I keep wondering...…
At what point does “economic empowerment” become government deciding which communities and businesses deserve targeted attention?

Nothing says “free market” quite like City Hall creating a roadmap for economic winners.

I’ve been told the school has a designated “prayer room” available for "authorized students" during specific times, including Sunrise (7:30–8:20 AM) and Dhuhr (1:30–3 PM), which align with Islamic prayer times.

So where are we at with the outrage over religion in schools?
Will this be the moment Democrats suddenly remembers the importance of separation of church and state?
Or will the rules magically depend on which religion is involved?
