@CartercountyGOP Thank you!! It was the hardest thing I had to do this legislative session. SB20 actually ensures ANYONE that drives in Oklahoma borders with a CDL must speak proficient English . Not just Oklahoma holders. Same goes for the visa/proof of citizenship.

Exactly why I filed SB1124 & SB817 last session, both were stalled quickly. Local taxing jurisdictions that bond out millions of tax dollars must be held accountable & live within a budget if we are serious on property tax relief. Taxpayers live on a budget, so should government.

In his State of the State address, @GregAbbott_TX made a bold, simple call to restrain local government property tax hikes. The currently filed SB10 that the House will consider tomorrow falls short of his expectations and our taxpayers.

This is exactly why SB20 in Oklahoma was so important last session! That legislation mandated English proficiency to have a CDL, and it also mandated that an individual must be in the US legally to drive on Oklahoma roads.

This individual is an illegal immigrant who was granted a commercial driver’s license by the State of California — and now, three innocent people are dead.

He has been arrested for vehicular homicide and an ICE detainer has been issued.
