The imprisonment of women & girls through dangerous abortion bans is cruel and anti-freedom.
The Governor has said ‘that will not happen in Florida’ — but we’re not just going to take his word for it, 𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙄 𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙖 𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙩.
Time for a reality check! Floridians are struggling with the growing affordability crisis — but instead of lowering costs & solving REAL problems, Republicans want to fight about drag & which bathroom people use. 🙄
Dear Florida,
This is a friendly reminder that any problems with your home, car, insurance premiums, property taxes, employment status, family dinner, city infrastructure, kids’ GPA, faith, marital happiness…..have absolutely nothing to do with the LGBTQ community, AP African-American studies, CRT, books in the library, migrants in Texas, or whatever other bullshit those with little political will are slinging.
However, there are still a few of us in public service, who are waiting to meet the other side in the middle, and actually do the work.
Sincerely,
Jason
If there’s something DeSantis and I agree on, it’s that Florida is absolutely worth fighting for… our FREEDOMS are worth fighting for, and our state must be a bastion for reason & rational thought.
(Note: We have VERY different ideas of what this all means.)
No crime has been committed, but yet state resources will be wasted on this aimless investigation. This enhances no one’s life, nor does it improve the well being of Floridians life. We should focus on the things that matter.
No one should be prohibited from speaking out against sexual harassment and assault. Great work @RepLoisFrankel & all who contributed to the #SpeakOutAct
10 years ago today a gunman killed 26 teachers & children at Sandy Hook Elementary. I’ve witnessed gun violence in our community & worked w families to pass common sense gun laws in FL. Let us use this anniversary to expand gun safety, in honor of those lost & those left behind.
Florida is failing in its childhood vaccination rates which are mandated by state law because of political stunts like this. He cares more about running for president than protecting the health of his constituents. It’s malpractice.
This Grand Jury announcement attempting to villainize public health is little more than the latest in a series of political stunts by a Governor with his eye on 2024. Buckle up, Florida. The next two years will be a wild ride.
Insurance is supposed to pay for the losses caused. To make policyholders whole. It’s NOT a handout to just “help people get back on their feet” - it’s a service the policyholder PAID for and the company is contractually obligated to pay what is owed.
This Special Session gives so much to insurance corporations & so little to everyday homeowners who need relief from skyrocketing rates. I just introduced an amendment requiring companies to freeze certain rates thru 2023 & reduce rates moving forward. It failed along party lines
Florida has no shortage of issues that need to be addressed! Rather than us dealing with the real issues that’s affecting every day peoples lives, my colleagues are creating FAKE issues that’s neither bringing relief or enhancing the lives of the everyday Floridian.
