Outspoken Gen Z Youth Collins Odhiambo Arrested for Protesting Against Bad Governance

This morning, Collins Odhiambo, the fearless Gen Z who courageously led the charge against the Finance Bill during a mass at the Holy Family Basilica in June was arrested by police for simply standing at the entrance of the church and holding the national flag while chanting "bad governance" to draw attention to the ongoing mismanagement of the country.

He was swiftly taken to Capitol Hill Police Station and is now facing charges of "creating a disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace."

The apparent collaboration between police and the All Saints Cathedral administration to press charges against Odhiambo has raised eyebrows with many now accusing Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya Rev. Jackson Ole Sapit of turning the institution into an arm of the government serving state interests.

Collins is currently remanded at Capitol Hill Police Station awaiting his appearance in court tomorrow, Monday September 16th, 2024.

We must stand up against this assault on free speech and peaceful protest.
