چیئرمین سینیٹ آف پاکستان سید یوسف رضا گیلانی (سابق وزیراعظم پاکستان) نے خانگڑھ میں منعقدہ عظیم الشان جلسے سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ نوابزادہ نصراللہ خان مرحوم اصولی سیاست، جمہوریت اور قومی یکجہتی کی علامت تھے۔ ان کی سی��سی خدمات اور جمہوریت کے لیے دی گئی قربانیاں ہمیشہ یاد رکھی جائیں گی۔ انہوں نے نوابزادہ افتخار احمد خان ایم این اے کو نشانِ امتیاز وصول کرنے پر مبارکباد بھی پیش کی۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اس عظیم شخصیت کی یاد میں منعقدہ تقریب میں شرکت ان کے لیے باعثِ اعزاز ہے اور نوابزادہ نصراللہ خان مرحوم کی سیاسی و جمہوری خدمات پاکستان کی تاریخ کا روشن باب ہیں۔
پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی کی جانب سے نوابزادہ نصراللہ خان مرحوم کو ملک کے سب سے بڑے سول اعزاز نشانِ امتیاز دیے جانے کی خوشی میں یہ عظیم الشان اور تاریخی جلسہ منعقد کیا گیا۔
اس موقع پر نوابزادہ نصراللہ خان مرحوم کی سیاسی و جمہوری جدوجہد پر تفصیلی روشنی ڈالی اور تاریخی واقعات پیش کیے۔
مقررین نے کہا کہ نوابزادہ نصراللہ خان مرحوم نے آمریت کے خلاف طویل جدوجہد کی اور جمہوریت کے فروغ کے لیے بے مثال قربانیاں دیں۔ انہیں “بابائے جمہوریت” کے طور پر یاد کیا جاتا ہے جنہوں نے سیاسی اصولوں پر کبھی سمجھوتہ نہیں کیا اور طویل عرصہ قید و بند کی صعوبتیں برداشت کیں۔ خاص طور پر جنرل ضیاء الحق کے دور میں ��ن کی سیاسی جدوجہد اور نظر بندی کو بھی شاندار خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا گیا۔
جلسے میں یہ بھی کہا گیا کہ نوابزادہ نصراللہ خان کی رہائش گاہ ایک سیاسی تربیت گاہ (پولیٹیکل اکیڈمی) کے طور پر جانی جاتی تھی جہاں ملک کے بڑے سیاسی رہنماؤں نے رہنمائی حاصل کی۔ اس موقع پر ان کا مشہور شعر بھی پیش کیا گیا:
“کتنے بے درد ہیں سرِ سڑک صبا کہتے ہیں
کیسے ظالم ہیں کہ ظلمت کو ضیا کہتے ہیں”
مقررین نے حکومت پاکستان کی جانب سے انہیں نشانِ امتیاز دینے کے فیصلے کو قومی سطح پر ایک اہم اور مثبت اقدام قرار دیا۔
جلسے میں سابق ایم این اے مہر ارشاد سیال، ایم پی اے میاں علمدار قریشی، خواجہ رضوان عالم، میر آصف خان دستی، ملک زاہد حسین کھوکھر، میاں نوید اصغر مکول، راؤ ساجد سمیت عہدیداران، کارکنان اور معززینِ علاقہ کی بڑی تعداد نے شرکت کی۔
