Huh. Interesting how @OregonGovBrown touted she would be the most transparent gov following Kitzhaber yet Oregon ranks worst in public records request response times nationwide https://t.co/3x98ueXEpJ
“Disposal of decommissioned solar panels in regular landfills is “not recommended in case modules break and toxic materials leach into the soil.” But where do most decommissioned panels go? Landfills.”
@e2org Pacific-Corp & PGE both have a guaranteed rate of return on their investments around 10% given to them by the government. If the cost of business increases for either of these two power companies they simply pass it directly to the rate payers. AKA your electric bill.
Damascus, Oregon raised from the dead.
The real questions not answered:
What's it take for a quorum when half the City government annexed to Happy Valley?
Do the employees have to... https://t.co/bHCqBl6ISI
The current "status quo" of the Canby Ferry is not an option. We've got to entertain other options. Read more on our most recent discussion about this landmark ferry: https://t.co/DWIcWeUVos #canby#canbycitycouncil#canbyferry
@ParrottCreek which bill are you looking for? I will assume you are interested in this one https://t.co/iWZ3lmKbuY
Let me know if this is the right bill. Thank you,
Several years running I have introduced a bill to try to stop this sort of thing from continuing to happen. Couldn't even get a hearing on the bill was told not needed. This year SB269 is needed what say you https://t.co/DTurI1xtvy
With the lack of affordable housing & w/ the cost of living climbing faster than their incomes can increase its a persistent growing problem for our Disabled Veterans in the State of Oregon. We offer some relief with SB 500

@combtwombat Clearly, you are lost. If you want Healthcare for all it will cost more. Period. If we were to start in Oregon we wouldn't have the revenue 4 it. Why hasn't California implemented their Healthcare 4 all system? They passed the legislation, so what is the problem? A: Revenue
why anyone thinks Socialism is the way to go and that getting something for nothing is somehow going to increase prosperity or living conditions clearly hasnt thought it out. Lets model our government and make our country look like Venezuela. Great idea!
@prosies_ So start your own or find something worth your time. Know your value or add value to your skill-set. How hard can it possibly be? You are limited by..well, you & the fact you don't know your own value + thinking your only options are working for someone else. double -
@james_roe@combtwombat life expectancy is going down due to three primary issues. Increased deaths from drugs & Alcohol, (opioids) abuse & suicides the 3rd is from obesity & the poor health conditions going w/it almost exclusively an American problem from people overeating and having too much food.
@combtwombat@cruciverberella Is your knowledge & understanding of Economics only come from the one side perspective of a factory worker who is limited in creative skills & wanting in the capacity for critical thinking & completly dependent on others to create a job for them to do in trade for their time?
@prosies_ @cruciverberella Maybe in the parallel Universe you live in but where I come from when we work/labor for something we keep what we earned/Fruits minus what the government takes. Fruits are AKA profits or wages usually we negotiate an accord B4 the work to = profits/wages 4 our time.
Sir Winston Churchill summed it up & said it best. Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. Envy is their primary motive Really? whats a "Fair Share?" Who sets the fairness mark?
@erosegolden That's right, you guessed it. All persons at the Corps company earn an income and have to pay income taxes. whether it be the workers, cleaners, Janitors, desk jockeys or the top CEO's they all have to pay income taxes.
@erosegolden No, you are not. With their Fees, licensing and then property Taxes/& County Taxes they pay much more than you think. But let's just say a corporation doesn't pay anything at all in taxes....what then? Well, Oregon has one of the highest income taxes. and guess what.
@erosegolden Actually, that sounds a lot more like Government Institutions than it does corporations. If you were to actually read the article you would have found the Socialized National Oil Riggs are the problematic ones in just about every aspect. Financially/Environmentally
@combtwombat Simple Concept?? Really?? You would have to pay a significantly higher amount of taxes to get healthcare as a part of the tax return. It's a huge expense & all your tax money is spent on other programs.
Conclusion = Pretty dilutional concept.
