I am deeply saddened by the death of Slade Gorton. He was a dear friend. We served together in the US Senate during the 1990s. He provided wise counsel to the Republican leadership and was trusted on both sides of the isle.
Happy 4th of July Weekend!🇺🇸
I was honored to serve our great country for much of my life in public office.
And I share many wonderful stories in my book, 'Citizen Mack'.
Today is Newt Gingrich’s birthday. I have a lot of stories and insights into this remarkable man. Chech out my blog to read one.

It was Bush 41’s birthday on Friday. Very special man. I was in the Senate during his four years as Pres. Made a lot of very difficult decisions. He never backed away from them. A leader! Go to https://t.co/RcuuMIWcRB to read an excerpt about him from my book Citizen Mack.
June 7th is National Cancer Survivors Day. My wife Priscilla and I are both survivors but she is the real special one. Read my blog at https://t.co/wIhKmwM0Fg to see why.
I was moved by a video produced by Hillsdale College for Memorial Day. It is appropriate on this 76th anniversary of D-Day
to post this special video. https://t.co/Y5BFAUa8Kr
One of our great presidents died on this date sixteen years ago. And Ronald Reagan gave one of his most memorable speeches thirty six years ago, tomorrow. The occasion, then, was the 40th anniversary of D-Day. Go to my blog https://t.co/RcuuMIWcRB to watch the speech.
May was Skin Cancer Awareness month. A blog has just been posted to my webpage https://t.co/vCsuZjMuVe. A great deal has been accomplished in the battle against melanoma, the cancer that killed my brother Mike. His fight lead to the dream of finding a cure. Check out the blog!
#MemorialDay is set aside to remember all those who have fallen in America’s wars. And, further, to honor all those who have served.
Among those whose service I particularly remember is John McCain.

Clarence Thomas, the longest-serving Supreme Court Justice, is the subject of a recent book and, also, a PBS documentary. I was in the Senate during his confirmation, which I write about in my book, Citizen Mack.
I wrote a blog post about him here: https://t.co/RcuuMIWcRB
Not many people have the honor of being asked to be a candidate for Vice President of the United States.
I was not interested, but it was a very memorable moment.
A brief scene from my memoir, Citizen Mack.

Why the campaign to undermine Attorney General Barr? Because his drive for the truth reveals that Russia-collusion was pure fantasy, and that hatred of Trump drove important people to abuse their power, writes @KimStrassel https://t.co/6CE1nkH1ty
The Mack Family has been in politics for over one hundred years. One of my favorite memories from my memoir.

Don Shula, a legendary coach will be remembered for his success with the Miami Dolphins. I will always remember him for his leadership in the fight against cancer. He presented my wife Priscilla with the first Don Shula Tribute to Courage award for her support of cancer research.
@Senator_Mack Somm. It's about 8 years old, but fascinating about the training of sommeliers. Also enjoyed The Keepers. It's a seven episode docuseries.
