@lessoncopy I have vitiligo symmetrically in huge patches over my lower legs, obvious in summer and people look as it’s unusual. Used to bother me a lot. but now I couldn’t care less ! Don’t worry about your scars they are part of your life journey. would never have noticed them tbh !!

@the_VHT I’ve found two meals a day with healthy and healthy snacks and exercise has worked for me. I also read that stress and cortisol production also trigger weight gain … worth a read, there are exercises and things you can do to regulate the vagus nerve. X

@AdrianEdmondson We use technology sometimes to help soothe and regulate pupils with additional needs. Esp for neurodiverse pupils. I would like to think that was the reason. Often it’s a helpful strategy for those who are neurodiverse / autistic.

Almost 90% of the children in prison have been excluded from school.

Excluding them didn't work.

It didn't shock them onto a different path.

It accelerated the one they were already on.

We have to find another way.

‘Educational Needs Coordinator’ and ‘additional needs’ rather than ‘special.’ ‘Lower attaining’ rather than ‘low ability’ …. language makes quite a difference!

@Katy_primary97 If behaviour is viewed as a communication of need that might help to reframe and change approach slightly. Relational concepts and social skills are no where near developed at that age. So many children are not developmentally or socially ready for learning at that age.

@MissT1302 Consider teaching in a different setting, special provision, AP or a change of Key stage maybe ? 😊 also speak to your school and speak up about finding it difficult, they need to support you through hard times.
