On #AdministrativeProfessionalsDay, we honour all of our office support staff such as personal assistants, office managers, and receptionists.
We cannot thank enough our team of dedicated #SenecaBusiness administrative professionals for their hard work! 💼💻📄🖇️📝
@SenecaPoly@SenecaBusiness@SenecaAlumni#senecaproud Thursday, 6:00 PM. The hallways seem quiet… or are they? Suddenly, voices rise, growing louder and LOUDER. What’s going on?
It’s the SAP Simulation Game—where students from our Supply Chain Management and Purchasing & Supply Management programs have dedicated their evening to compete for the SENECA ALUMNI CUP!
Joining them are Seneca alumni, stepping in as consultants to guide the teams, alongside Professors Thomas Perdue, Jim Wyer, and our brilliant creator and moderator, Professor Sophia Yi. Some students arrive with teams, while others form new connections, building friendships and camaraderie through the challenge.
After several intense rounds, the clock strikes 9:00 PM, and the champions emerge:
🏆 Team B – Yuvraj Thukral, Sudeep Elesela, and Shanas Samarakoon! Congratulations!
What an unforgettable experience! Just another example of how Seneca Polytechnic shapes industry-ready graduates who stand out from the rest.
This week, first semester Flight Services students headed to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, operated by @PortsToronto, for an exclusive insider's look at how operations are run in one of Canada's busiest airports. ✈️

@SenecaPoly@SenecaBusiness#senecaproud With over 50 registered students from our Supply Chain Management - Global Logistics (SCM), International Transportation & Customs (ITS), Purchasing & Supply Management (BAO), and Part-Time Studies programs, we had the opportunity to be part of a virtual audience exploring Amazon’s operations.
The tour began right after a customer clicks "order," giving us a behind-the-scenes look at how orders are processed and fulfilled. We were taken through Amazon facilities in Minnesota, Washington, and California, witnessing the seamless integration of robotics, automation, and human expertise.
A special thank you to our hosts at Amazon for an insightful and engaging tour!

#senecaproud@SenecaBusiness@SenecaPoly@SenecaAlumni With the trade war with the United States intensifying, gaining a clear understanding of how tariffs are applied — including when, by whom, and who is initially responsible for paying these taxes — has become crucial. These questions and more were explored in a webinar hosted by the ASCM Western Canada Chapter in Vancouver.
Our Supply Chain Professional candidates from the Supply Chain Management - Global Logistics graduate program at Seneca College joined the session virtually to gain insights from a western perspective.
A special thank you to Seneca friend Greg Henderson, President of Export Spark, and the outstanding team at ASCM Western Chapter — Manly Sitter, Anna Ciccarelli, and others — for organizing this informative event. The discussions were so engaging that the session went into overtime with a flurry of questions and conversations.
#senecaproud@SenecaBusiness@SenecaPoly@SenecaAlumni Our next stop on DISC was the Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto. While it may not be widely recognized, Supply Chain plays a crucial role in reducing food insecurity.
Our students were impressed by the precise coordination of logistics within the facility. When asked if they wanted to volunteer, their response was a resounding "yes" — gladly extending their stay to help prepare individual servings of granola.
A heartfelt thank you to Heather Valentino, VP of Operations, and her team for sharing remarkable insights and offering our students the opportunity to contribute firsthand.
#senecaproud@SenecaBusiness@SenecaPoly@SenecaAlumni Our semester's Day in the Supply Chain (DISC) kicked off with students from our SCM, TCS, BAO, and Part-Time Learning programs boarding the bus at 7:15 AM. Their destinations: LCBO and Daily Bread Food Bank.
