@SHS_IrishSball will etch their names in Seneca High School HISTORY this weekend, as they head to Peoria to compete in the 2026 IHSA Class 2A Softball State Tournament at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex.

The Lady Irish Softball Team is headed to STATE & we need your help to send them off to Peoria! Please join us at 10:00 AM on Thursday morning as the Seneca IL Police Department and the Seneca Fire Protection and Ambulance District escort the team out of town!
The escort route will begin in the Seneca High School student parking lot and will head down Scott Street. From there, they will turn right at the Seneca Public Library District and will continue north on Main Street on their way to the North Hill and out of town.

Senior Lila Coleman competed in the IHSA Class 1A Girls Track 400m Dash Finals on Saturday at EIU, finishing in 4th Place with another SCHOOL RECORD-BREAKING run of 57.86s! What a fantastic race and great way to end her high school career. CONGRATULATIONS, Lila! #IrishPride ☘️

The Lady Irish Softball Team DEFEATED the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish in the IHSA Class 2A Softball Regional Championship at home on Friday, 9-2! With that win, the Lady Irish will now advance to the Sectional Semifinals in Pontiac on Tuesday at 4:30 PM.

On May 20, 2026, the Seneca High School District #160 Board of Education voted unanimously to approve Seneca High School’s membership into the ICE Conference for athletics and activities beginning with the 2027-2028 school year.
