(#2531) - The Internet Police Agency announced today that it has successfully blocked more than 500 fraudulent users and recovered the lost money of more than 300 users since the beginning of May. These measures come within the framework of the agency's continuous efforts to combat cybercrime and protect users on the Internet.

The first team, Youssef Al Crystal, pointed out the importance of users' cooperation in detecting swindlers and fraudsters, calling on users to report any cases of fraud that they themselves or other people have been exposed to fraud. Bin Abdullah stressed that this cooperation contributes to strengthening the agency's efforts to reduce cybercrime and ensure the safety of the digital society.

For his part, the deputy head of the agency stated that the procedures will be tightened on the members of the federal department to ensure the achievement of better results in combating cybercrime. He stressed that the agency is working to provide all the necessary support to the concerned teams and provide them with appropriate training to improve their efficiency in the field of combating cybercrime and investigating cases of fraud and fraud via the Internet.
