Today, we remember Cst Laura Ellis. On this day in 2002, Cst Ellis and her partner were responding to a B&E when a car turned into the path of their cruiser, killing her in the collision.

We are deeply saddened that a second officer has succumbed to his injuries from this shooting incident. We extend our condolences and support to our NYPD colleagues as our officers go to work everyday, sometimes into harm's way, to serve and protect the public.
