An 82-year-old Florida woman was killed after being run over by an SUV in a Publix parking lot — and authorities say the driver is a Venezuelan national allegedly in the country illegally.

Carlos Suarez-Contreras, 26, allegedly backed his Toyota 4Runner over Deborah Murphy as she walked on a crosswalk outside the store in Panama City Beach. According to the arrest affidavit, the SUV pushed her to the ground and then continued backing up, running over her. She died from her injuries at the hospital.

Suarez-Contreras has been charged with driving with a canceled license causing death, a third-degree felony. He's being held without bond as a potential flight risk. Both he and his passenger were hit with ICE detainers after telling deputies they were born in Venezuela.

We’ll see if Communist China actually follows through this time. Lord knows they haven’t in the past.

The Busan summit last year marked the THIRD time in less than EIGHT years that Communist China has had to pledge cooperation on fentanyl (2018, 2023). We’re still waiting on results.

On scam centers Communist China has a “selective enforcement” where they crack down on centers with Chinese victims, but this is a multibillion dollar industry where Americans pay the price.

To get into the WTO, Communist China made many promises it never intended to keep. They pledged to transition to a more market-oriented economy through a multi step process. To this day, they’ve failed to fulfill each one of their central commitments.

In 2020, the United States and Communist China passed a Phase One trade deal in which China pledged to purchase an additional $200 billion in U.S. goods and services by the end of 2021. They did not meet this deadline, significantly underdelivered on their promised investment, and failed to meet import levels.

This is how Communist China works - they’ll do just enough to keep you interested, but they never keep their word. Diplomacy is great, but it needs to be a two-way street.

- Communist China using supply chains as a weapon against the West, including in pharmaceuticals and the heavy reliance of America’s military on dangerous medicines made by Communist China

- Communist China’s trade cheating and the need to fully comply with the Phase One Agreement; no transshipping, theft of IP, price controls, subsidies and tax incentives for favored state industries, discrimination against foreign entities in trade matters, and forced tech transfers

- Communist China’s continued grey zone warfare tactics against our allies, especially in Japan and the Philippines

- Communist China’s tactics to influence US domestic policy, including its collusion with California to drive its “green energy” agenda

- Communist China’s efforts to undermine anti-CCP candidates in the United States through its official diplomatic facilities, including the consulate in NY

- Communist China’s state-led and supported efforts to steal US data and to undermine the security of the US grid
