@Pirat_Nation I don't mind that Microslop makes this kinda stuff. I DO very much mind that they bake it into the operating system instead of as a stand-alone optional product.
@CHEEZYSPAM@MagneticNorse Because the most of the water is converted into vapor by the cooling tower. It turns into a clouds and can't be pumped to a water treatment plant... this water does end up in lakes and rivers eventually if you remember how the water cycle works.
@japan_nobunaga A hot bath stays hot for only about 10 minutes, probably because tubs are metal coated in plastic. It isn't worth the time or money to draw a bath.
@WallStreetMav Having anything blow up on the pad is basically the worst-case scenario from a production perspective. The launch infrastructure is probably toast.
@kirawontmiss "If you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to dine out."
This is actually true, but it's also why companies don't build the tip into the bill.
It's easier to moralize you to pay for what you can't afford than to adopt transparent pricing and make every item cost $1-2 more.
@beerandtokens It is hard to understand because the economic system is designed to be that way. People do not natively understand concepts like compounding interest or inflation, for example. It is esoteric for most people even if they learn math.
@Fat_Electrician Opposing data centers is silly, but the scale of the bubble they are trying to build is even sillier.
Companies buying up years' worth of computer chips which will be extremely outdated by the time the buildings are finally erected a couple of years after that.
@ShitpostRock2 Depends on how you define work. If you live on a plot of land and are fully self-sufficient, then you will do a lot of labor, but some may not consider that working just to live.
